• Self-starter personality that can complete daily tasks without the need for constant direction

Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise

• Minimum of 1 year of experience (required)
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
•  Expert animal handling skills
• Excellent communication skills
•  Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks depending on needs
•  Good organizational skills 
• Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment
•  Computer skills to maintain medical records about animals in veterinary software
• Familiarity of running In House cytologies (preferred, but not required)
• Familiarity of monitoring anesthesia (preferred but not required)
• Profound in taking Radiographs
• Comfortability in running rooms/ taking on appointments
• Confident in SOAP notes
• Ability to draw blood
• Placing IV Catheters (preferred, but not required)
• Properly restraining animals 
• Ability to practice Fear Free restraining (if applicable)
• Familiarity of Hospitalization for patients
